NEWS FROM THE CV CHAMBER

The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce has some exciting things happening.

At the senior awards ceremony at Crescenta Valley High School, scholarship awards were announced that are being awarded by the CV Chamber of Commerce. Recipients are Alyssa Kim, Lucy Bell, Joanne Lee and Inji Jeong. We will be presenting the checks at our next business mixer on July 8 at Sadler Hall on the grounds of St. Luke’s of the Mountains. Congratulations to our winners!

Looking ahead, plans are being made with USC-VHH and the La Cañada and Montrose chambers to bring back the Business Expo! This popular event showcases to the community the vibrant businesses here in the Crescenta Valley and surrounding areas. In the past the Business Expo has featured florists, caterers, musicians, insurance representatives and more – all on-site to provide information about their varied businesses. And hopefully we can bring back the popular “shredding event.”

Our mixer in August will be here at the Crescenta Valley Weekly and a “Friendsgiving” mixer is in the works for November.

The chamber is also planning on having an informative presentation on AI (artificial intelligence) and how it can benefit businesses. It will be held in late July (contact the CV Chamber office for details).

Members of St. Luke’s of the Mountains, the CV Chamber of Commerce and the Crescenta Valley Lions Club teamed up to distribute quilts made by the East Bay Heritage Quilters. They were given to those affected by the Eaton Fire.

There’s a new facet to the chamber website. According to board member and treasurer Molly Shelton, “I’m thrilled about our adoption of MembershipWorks – a powerful, all-in-one membership management platform that’s going to transform how we support and engage with our members. From event registration and renewals to seamless member directory listings and automated invoicing, it simplifies everything behind the scenes so we can focus more on connection and growth.

“What really excites me is how our members will benefit. They’ll enjoy an easy to navigate online portal to manage their profiles, register for events, access exclusive resources, and even network through member-to-member deals. It’s modern, mobile-friendly and built for busy professionals who want streamlined tools and more value from their membership. Simply put, MembershipWorks is helping us build a smarter, stronger, and more connected business community.
