New Things Found in Montrose

New Year, new concept, new business to our Montrose community.

Welcome Tribe to Table and the nod to heritage being offered in a new and relevant way.

Christian Ramirez, owner of Tribe to Table, has been in the seafood industry for over 26 years. In 2013, Christian partnered with the Nisqually Tribe from Olympia, Washington. It was through this partnership that he developed a plan to create his own dog food from the wild-caught salmon that the Nisqually Tribe harvests. In working with over 60 tribes and realizing these tribes have so much more to offer than great pet food, the dog food idea soon grew into an idea for a Native American market. Thus Tribe to Table was born. And in 2018, the young man from Mexican immigrant parents who had worked hard at developing his business plan since he was 8 years old opened the doors to the Native Market featuring harvested goods from over 60 tribes spanning the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Tribe to Table hopes to promote Native American culture and food and hopes to educate and inspire Montrose locals. Its “dog bar” is again another first of its kind that will cater to Montrose and the surrounding areas. The owners know how much our pets are loved and they want the community to know they can find a great pet spot in their store, a place where pets can sit on the red dog bone bench and pick a treat of their choice.

Tribe to Table is honored to be the market that tribes are reaching out to and be the voice/catalyst for developing and supporting inclusive relationships globally.

The Montrose Tribe to Table location is their flagship store and their goal is to take this culturally-conscious and environmentally-conscious business to many other areas in the near future.

Tribe to Table is a team of enthusiastic, community and globally-conscious, forward-thinking people. Before they even opened their doors for business, the team was already introducing themselves, integrating into the community and volunteering for the Montrose Oktoberfest. In working to support one another, Tribe to Table joined the MVCC membership and hosted the year’s first Business Showcase (mixer) on Friday, Feb. 15 at its store at 2329 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose.

And to top off hosting the Business Showcase, MVCC will also support Tribe to Table with an official ribbon cutting on March 1 at noon. Come see for yourself all that Tribe to Table has to offer.
