Praline-Topped Sweet Potato Pie


Thanksgiving brings a lot to mind, being thankful

and traditions we don’t hear much of anymore.

Here is a special recipe that will warm your home.

Directions: Heat oven to 425. Medium bowl combine eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves & salt. Beat until smooth. Add sweet potatoes and mix well. Gradually stir in half & half or evaporated milk or cream making as little foam as possible. Pour into unbaked pie shell, bake 45 min. or until center sets. Prepare praline topping; spread topping over pie. Put back into oven and bake 10 more minutes. Cover edge of pie with foil and bake until topping is bubbly and begins to brown. Cool slightly. Serve warm or cold. For praline topping combine granulated sugar, brown sugar and half & half or butter in a small bowl mix well. Stir in pecans. May be served with whipped cream.
