Happy Holiday Fun at Drive-Thru Santa Event

Santa looks over the wish lists delivered by children at the Blessing the Holidays with Santa Drive-Thru on Dec. 12.

The 29th annual Breakfast with Santa hosted by the La Crescenta Woman’s Club was reinvented this year: Blessing the Holidays with Santa Drive-thru.

Blessing the Holidays with Santa was wonderful! According to organizers just under 100 cars took part in the drive-thru, complete with wide-eyed children and their dogs, to see Santa, Mrs. Claus and the LCWC elves. There was plenty of music and merriment as the children dropped off their wish lists to Santa, and anticipated taking a photo with him. Santa looks like he stepped off a Norman Rockwell painting!

The extra bonus was every child received a free gift from Santa. To see the joy on the children’s faces brought joy to all who took part. Some families were overcome with emotion that tears of joy filled their eyes as well.

Gifts not distributed were given to the Glendale Police Department, the Bailey Center and churches, schools and the local sheriff’s departments. All agreed that it was a blessing spending the day with Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves during these times of uncertainty.

“I feel privileged we were able to bring some joy and happiness to our sweet little town,” said Dawna Daley-Berger of the LCWC, co-chair of the event.

Berger add that the event would not have been possible without the tremendous support of club members and the community overall that gave so much of themselves!

“I am truly grateful to live in this awesome town with so many big hearts,” she said. “Thank you to all who supported our event; may your blessings come back a hundred-fold.”
