The Lanterman Historical Museum Foundation will celebrate the holiday season by hosting a holiday open house on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The free event will include tours of the landmark Lanterman House, light refreshments and caroling with the La Cañada High School Choral Singers.

The 1915 Lanterman House will be festively decorated for the season, including a “Remembrance Day” Christmas tree, decorated by local Girl Scout Troop 931 in honor of La Cañada Flintridge war veterans. An exhibit of vintage Christmas cards from the Lanterman archives will be on display, as well as selections from Emily Lanterman’s extensive silver and china services.

“This event is the Lanterman Foundation’s gift to the community. The house is beautifully decorated for the season and waiting for guests to enjoy our city’s remarkably well-preserved historic site,” said Laura Verlaque, executive director of the Lanterman Historical Museum Foundation.

The holiday open house will be held at the Lanterman House, 4420 Encinas Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. For more information, visit lantermanfoundation.org.
