Plenty of bargains were found last Saturday at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Annual Rummage Sale. The event began with a line of early shoppers prior to the gates opening at 7 a.m. From furniture to clothing, there was something for everyone at the event. Volunteers who sponsored the rummage sale are now turning their attention to the annual toy drive.
Each year donation barrels are placed throughout the community to collect toys for local families in need. Toys are needed for all ages of children but especially older kids, pre-teen and teenagers. Drop unwrapped new toys in the donation barrels at local stores or at the CV Sheriff’s Station at 4554 Briggs Ave. in La Crescenta.
There will also be a food drive held during the 26th Annual Thanksgiving Run hosted by the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge on Thanksgiving morning that begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. at Memorial Park, 1301 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.
