Wedding Wilson-Whitney

Christopher Evan Wilson and Jordan Whitney Wood were married July 6 in the Portland, Oregon Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The groom is the son of Melissa and Craig Wilson of La Crescenta. The bride is the daughter of Lenore and Kendall Wood of Corvallis, Ore.

The bride was attended by her sisters Marin and Morgan Wood, sister of the groom Molly Wilson Tapp, sister-in-law Mary Wood and friends Katie Bauer and Rae Blanco.

Kirk and Chad Wilson, brothers of the groom, were the best men. Groomsmen were cousin Noah Milam, friend Chase Hansen and brother of the bride Jordan Wood.

Two receptions were held – one in Corvallis following the ceremony and another on Aug. 24 in La Cañada at the LDS Church.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Crescenta Valley High School. He served a two-year mission for his church in Chile. He graduated this year from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry.

The couple met while attending BYU. They are currently living in Provo, Utah while the bride finishes her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science.

They are both planning to continue their education in the medical field.
