It was a night of elegance, celebration and dance when Glendale Memorial Health Foundation presented its 27th Annual Evening of Wine & Roses at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena on Oct. 5.
While guests enjoyed nibbling on passed hors d’oeuvres and bidding on an array of tempting silent auction items before dinner, they were also supporting the hospital’s foundation in raising money to place new technology in the hands of surgeons at Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital.
After being seated, master of ceremonies Bill A. Jones of “Glee” fame took the mic to introduce several performances by dancers from “Dancing with the Stars.” The room was alive with salsa, rumba and ballroom music while professional dancers dazzled the crowd.
Between performances, guests were welcomed by Vincent Hambright, chairman of the Glendale Memorial Health Foundation, and Jack Ivie, the hospital and health care center president.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Dr. Santo Polito, who has devoted over 40 years to Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center.
“We are extremely pleased to honor Dr. Santo Polito, who exemplifies our Dignity Health values – especially dignity, respecting the inherent value and worth of each person,” stated hospital President Jack Ivie. “We are grateful for his unwavering commitment to the health and wellness of our hospital and the Glendale community.”
