The Cañada Auxiliary of Professionals (CAP), an auxiliary of Action League of the Foothills (ALF), invites community members on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. for a special evening focused on bringing hope and support to survivors of human trafficking in Los Angeles. ALF is located at 4607 Oakwood in La Cañada Flintridge.
CAP will welcome a special guest speaker from Saving Innocence, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking and helping them move toward safety, healing and independence. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the organization’s work and the impact it is making in the Los Angeles community.
Following the presentation, community members are invited to participate in building survivor backpacks, which provide practical essentials and encouragement to survivors as they begin their journey toward a safer future. The evening offers an opportunity to learn, serve and make a tangible difference alongside CAP members.
To RSVP for this special event, email info@alfoothills.org (subject line should be CAP program) or call (818) 790-1328. RSVP deadline is 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19. Due to the subject matter, no one under 18 years of age will be admitted and childcare is not available.
