National Charity League, Inc. Glendale Chapter Sellebration 2022

The Glendale Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. will hold its annual community rummage sale Sellebration at the Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave. in Glendale. A long-standing event for the Chapter, Sellebration serves the community with well-priced offerings of apparel, toys and home goods and this year was chaired by local residents Joy Asbury and Monica Rubalcava.

Over 200 mothers and daughters will spend 1,445 hours planning, preparing, setting up and working at Sellebration.

“Sellebration is one of our biggest events that I look forward to because mothers and daughters are able to work side by side to support the local communities and our philanthropic partners who are Union Station, Ascencia, YWCA Glendale, Door of Hope and many more,” said President Mia Husfeld. “Our hope is that the community comes out and does a little shopping at our huge rummage sale and all the proceeds will benefit numerous people in need. We received feedback that we needed to extend our sale hours. So this year we added extra hours of shopping on Saturday, Sept. 24. This event brings all of our members together for fun, camaraderie and service.”

The Chapter also recently announced that it will open its membership drive on Oct. 1 and is accepting applications for the classes of 2029, 2028 and 2027 from the surrounding La Cañada, La Crescenta and Glendale communities. Those interested should visit the chapter’s website at https://www.nationalcharityleague.org/chapter/glendale/ and complete the online interest form on the Get Involved page by Oct. 31.
