Edwin Daneelian of Tujunga was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Quinnipiac University.    

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university enrolls 7,000 full-time undergraduate and 3,000 graduate and part-time students in 110 degree programs through its Schools of Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Law, Medicine, Nursing and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Meredith Roberts of La Cañada Flintridge has been named to the University of Delaware dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester.

To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

On May 10, Emerson College awarded 959 undergraduate degrees for the Class of 2020. The College will hold a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 in person when it is safe to do so at a to be determined date.

Evan Combs of La Crescenta graduated in December 2019 and received a BA degree in media arts production.

Cameron Leewong of La Cañada Flintridge received a BA degree in media arts production.

Carl D’Aguiar of Tujunga received a BS degree in communication studies.

Eliot Lee of La Crescenta received a BA degree in media arts production.

The College launched an Emerson 2020 Celebration website to honor graduates’ achievements with more than 800 submissions from students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff, which includes photos, videos, audio submissions, and text. The website strives to reflect the many facets of the Class of 2020 and the wider Emerson community – its creativity, daring, thoughtfulness, irreverence, and humor.

A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all As).

The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Local students named to the president’s list are Nicole Ramirez of La Cañada and Anthony Connell of La Cañada Flintridge.

The University of Alabama is the state’s oldest and largest public institution of higher education and is a student-centered research university.

Marcelino E. Martinez from Tujunga, a sophomore at Oregon State University majoring in kinesiology, earned a spot on the college spring honor roll.

A total of 7,004 students earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the honor roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.

As one of only two universities in the nation designated as a land, sea, space and sun grant, Oregon State serves more than 31,000 students from across the globe, and has programs in every Oregon county.

Ryan Moguel of Tujunga was among more than 3,800 students from Miami University who received degrees during the virtual spring commencement experience May 16-17.

Moguel graduated with a Master of Science/certificate degree, majoring in student affairs in higher education/ women, gender & sexuality studies.

The Army and Navy Academy recognized Cadet Dojun Kim from La Crescenta for his outstanding academic achievement during the spring of 2020.

Being placed on the dean’s list indicates a very high grade point average and requires tremendous resilience, tenacity and application to achieve at this level. Grade point averages ranged from 3.83 all the way to 4.80 this past semester!

The Academy, located in Carlsbad, adheres to University of California standards and offers advanced placement and honors classes. The goal is to help every student set goals and “crush them.”

Megan Massey of La Cañada Flintridge was recently named to the dean’s list for the spring semester, which ended May 16, at Benedictine College.

Full time students with 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 are named to the dean’s list. Of the 1,935 students on campus for 2019-20 academic year, 546 earned a spot on the dean’s list.

Founded in 1858, Benedictine College is a Catholic, Benedictine, residential, liberal arts college located on the bluffs above the Missouri River in Atchison, Kansas. Samantha Gilmore of La Crescenta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in retailing and consumer behavior from the University of Wisconsin School of Human Ecology in Madison, Wisconsin. She was among nearly 8,500 students who received degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison during a unique online commencement ceremony on May 9.

Brennah Bronk of Tujunga and James DeRose of La Cañada Flintridge have earned spots on the Ripon College dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. The dean’s list recognizes academic excellence. To qualify for the dean’s list at Ripon College, students must achieve a 3.40 grade point average or higher on a 4.00 scale and complete at least 12 credits of regular letter-graded work.

Erica Um of La Crescenta was named to the St. Louis College of Pharmacy dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

St. Louis College of Pharmacy is one of the oldest and largest colleges of pharmacy in the nation. Founded in 1864, the College has a rich history as an independent institution that continues to lead pharmacy and health care education. The College offers both undergraduate and professional degrees.
