On May 8, the La Crescenta Woman’s Club Evening Section held its Brown Bag Fashion Show at the clubhouse in La Crescenta. The evening was an opportunity to display the creative talents of each of the designers/models.

Each woman previously rummaged through her closet and put various clothing and accessory items in a brown bag. The bags were given to different club members who took them home to create runway fashion items.

The ladies’ “couture creations” were strutted on the clubhouse stage for the audience to applaud and enjoy. Guests made donations to watch – and admire – the colorful fashions that graced the runway. The fashions were then voted on and a winning model was crowned. The proceeds were distributed to local scholarships and charities in the area.
