Clark University announced that Oliver E. Briskin and Karina H. Fischman of La Crescenta were named to first honors on the spring 2026 Dean’s List.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Sarah Dea of La Cañada Flintridge earned a spot on the Dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Elaine Kim of La Crescenta-Montrose graduated from the University of Tampa. Kim received a Bachelor of Arts in communication and media studies BA.

The commencement ceremony honored 1,992 undergraduate and graduate candidates and included remarks by President Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg.

Stephanie Kiang of La Cañada Flintridge has been named to the spring 2026 chancellor’s list at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Students receiving a 3.9 grade point average or higher are placed on the chancellor’s list, while those receiving a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.89 are named to the deans’ list. The lists recognize students’ outstanding academic achievements.

UAF is a Land, Sea and Space Grant institution and is the leading doctoral degree-granting institution in the state of Alaska. Since it was founded in 1917, UAF has been internationally recognized for research relating to the Arctic and sub-Arctic in areas such as biology, geophysics, engineering, natural resources and climate.

Vanad Mousakhani of Tujunga received a doctor of medicine degree from Quinnipiac University during a commencement ceremony held in May.
