Starlight Bowl in Burbank Rolls Out Summer Concert Line Up

The City of Burbank announced the 2014 Starlight Bowl Summer Concert Series, a season of surf sounds, Latin rhythms and plenty of soul and rock ‘n’ roll under the stars.

The pre-season concert is Saturday, June 28, hailing the return of The Fab Four, a favorite Beatles tribute band. Internationally renowned, their expert renditions of Beatles’ hits are just like the real thing.

Come celebrate Friday, July 4 in Red, White & Rock ‘N’ Roll style with performances by Surfin’ – The Beach Boys Tribute, The Tokens, and The Surfaris. The festivities culminate in a phenomenal fireworks finale.

Kick off the official concert series on July 12 with Hollywood U2 and The Young Dubliners. The world’s leading U2 tribute band joins the beloved indie group for an evening of powerful pop and compelling Celtic rock.

On July 19, Larry Dunn’s Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire gets the audience grooving to some of the greatest R&B tunes from one of the most popular bands of the ’70s and ’80s. Opening act for the evening is Platinum Groove, offering their high energy dance music.

July 26 showcases the infectious jazz rhythms of Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band. The B-Side Players open, adding their blend of global funk to the mix for a night of unforgettable Latin sounds.

Then the audience will rock out on Aug. 2 with tribute bands DSB and The PettyBreakers. Everyone will sing along to these chart-topping classic rock songs from Journey and Tom Petty.

Finally, on Aug. 9, The Commodores bring their soulful sound and plentiful hits to the Starlight Bowl. Their mellow melodies will be a perfect end to a spectacular series of shows.

All tickets are available online at or may be purchased in person at the Community Services Building located at 150 N. Third Street in Burbank on the third floor.

Individual concert tickets range from $8-$15. The military discount for individual tickets is $8. The Park Lover’s Pass, grass seating only, is $60 for the entire summer season of shows. Also available is the Park Lover’s + Fab Four Pass for $80.

Please note ticket pricing for The Fab Four is $20 and 4th of July concert are $20-$25, separate from the regular concert series.

Picnic baskets are welcome. BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse will also be offering tasty, on-site concessions.

Parking is $8 cash per vehicle. Carpooling is recommended. Parking opens at 4:30 p.m., the gates open at 5:30 p.m., and all concerts begin at 6:30 p.m.
