The Reverend Clifford “Skip” Lindeman, pastor of the La Cañada Congregational Church, and all of the clergy of the city will be recognized on Wednesday, June 8 at a special Clergy Recognition Day Luncheon sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada and Descanso Gardens Van de Kamp Hall. The public is invited. The special day of recognition is an annual event and takes place at 11:45 a.m. The event will be emceed by Dr. Joel Smith. Special recognitions will be made by city officials.

After a full career in the secular community, Rev. Lindeman in the early 2000s felt called into the ministry and he took steps to get ordained. He has been the pastor at La Cañada Congregational Church (formerly the Church of the Lighted Window) since September of 2002.

Lindeman is married to Harlane Loeff, who is a psychologist at Kaiser Permanente. Those wishing to attend the luncheon should call (818) 952-1969 for reservations.
