On Wednesday, May 24 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. folks can support the La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild (LCFOG) by dining in or ordering take out at Los Gringos Locos, 631 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada. Diners should just mention that they are there to promote the goals of LCFOG.
LCFOG is an organization whose goal it is to help every child Grow Well and Play Well. The doctors, nurses and all personnel at Luskin OIC (Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children) are dedicated to helping children get back on the playground. If a child needs a cast for his leg or he needs a new extremity, almost everything is doable at Luskin OIC.
LCFOG members have volunteered and staffed the welcome desk at the Los Angeles downtown health facility. They have worked to insure that children get to sit on Santa’s lap and receive toys and books at the annual Christmas parties. They also provide much-needed school supplies to youngsters … and much more.
Anyone interested in becoming part of LCFOG can contact Jeanne Long at (818) 640-9106. Those who just want to check out the organization are invited to attend a meeting. New members are always welcome.
