The nationally recognized seminar based on the best selling book, “Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes…in You and Your Kids,” is coming to Crescenta Valley. Authors Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN, outline strategies and concepts to help build family relationships based on honor.
Hosted by Crescenta Valley Community Church, the seminar will focus on new strategies and responses that will better equip parents to interact with their children.
According to Scott Wood, CVCC pastor whose kids were involved in basketball and waterpolo at Crescenta Valley High School, “Raising successful kids doesn’t happen by accident. We encourage all parents to attend [the seminar].”
The seminar will be offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and led by John and Karen Nelson, and Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. will be facilitated by Bryan and Karen Miller. The seminar is based around a video presentation from the authors and the evening presentation will also feature interviews and question and answer times with experienced parents and national speakers.
Crescenta Valley Community Church is located at 4001 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta on Sundays. The morning class begins April 18, and the evening session begins Sunday night, April 25.
