Members of the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital (FGCH) remain committed to raising money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Recently the Guild held its annual installation luncheon at Annandale where the new 2018-19 executive board was announced. The Guild also welcomed Nancy Hong as a provisional member.
FGCH embraces new members. Very few endeavors are as gratifying as saving a child’s life or correcting a disfiguration, like a cleft pallet, so that a child feels good about how he looks. Since most aren’t doctors, the Guild offers us those opportunities.
Those interested in joining, or would like more information about the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital, please contact membership chair Kim Kessler at mykessler863@gmail.com.
FGCH has an exciting event on the horizon. The Great Chocolate Race is on Sunday, May 6 beginning at 9 a.m. at Memorial Park in La Cañada. What could be more fun than meeting family, friends, and pets for an invigorating 2.5K or 5K walk/run around residential areas of La Canñada Flintridge? Every pit stop has water and chocolate, guaranteed to keep participants going. A breakfast in the park follows the race. Teens for the Advancement for Children’s Hospital (TACH) will provide entertainment for the kids. Please visit www.fgch.la for additional race information and sign-ups. All proceeds from the race benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
