Sean Gedorio of La Crescenta has earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Gedorio was among approximately 4,200 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 258th commencement exercises in December.

Peter Andrew Rosaire Hovland of Glendale and Andrew Walter Calmette of La Cañada Flintridge have earned placement on the Gonzaga University president’s list for fall semester 2019. Students must earn a 3.85 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.

Elijah Rj Eigenbrodt from Glendale and Michael Paul Calmette from La Cañada Flintridge earned placement on the Gonzaga University dean’s list for fall semester 2019. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.

Shelby Comstock of La Cañada was named to Ashland University’s dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Comstock is majoring in nursing.

Isabel Moon of La Cañada, majoring in theatre and performance and a member of the class of 2023, Cameron Leewong of La Cañada Flintridge, majoring in media arts production and a member of the class of 2020, Mara Tatevosian of La Crescenta, majoring in media arts production and a member of the class of 2022, and Maia Tivony of Glendale, majoring in stage and production management and a member of the class of 2022, have each earned a spot on Emerson College’s dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. The requirement to make the dean’s list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher that semester.

Wheaton College students Sarah Lee of La Crescenta and Joshua Kim of Montrose were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester.

To earn dean’s list honors at Wheaton, located in Wheaton, Illinois, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Amy Giboney of La Crescenta was among 1,759 students named to the Samford University’s 2019 fall semester dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean’s list is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Giboney is majoring in sports medicine (HP).

Garik Arutyunyan of Glendale (91208) was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 fall semester. Arutyunyan is in the computer science program.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for dean’s list if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete”, “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Dojun Kim of La Crescenta was awarded Army and Navy Academy’s highest recognition, the Silver “A” Award, named after Col. (Hon.) William Currier Atkinson; the General William W. Crouch Distinguished Leadership Award for his performance during the fall 2019 school semester; the Major Samuel W. Peterson Legion of Merit Award; the Dean Raymond Ede Superior Academic Achievement Award; and named to the dean’s list for the fourth grading period of the 2019-2020 school year. He was recognized on Oct. 27, 2019 at the Military Review and Academic Awards presentation.
