Prom Plus hosted its annual bingo game earlier this month at the American Legion/Verdugo Hills Memorial Hall. Proceeds from the fundraiser – which totaled nearly $3500 – were dedicated to the annual Prom Plus event that follows the Crescenta Valley High School prom (this year on May 18).
Sponsors donated money for food and for cash prizes distributed to the winners of the 13 games. These sponsors included American Legion 288/VFW 1614, State Senator Anthony Portantino, the Chock family, Wellness Works, Center for Spiritual Living-La Crescenta, Realtor Lisa Foster, Mike Baldwin, Realtor Tina Amirganian, “Carmine’s Angel” author Rosemary Montana, Harry Leon, CV Weekly, USC-VHH, Realtor Diana Tyson, Mike and Cindy Claessens, Bruce Bartels-Bruce’s Automotive, Chris Waldheim-
J’s Maids, Andy’s Transfer & Storage, Harriet Hammons, Foothill Construction, Roy Allmon (in memory of Kathy Allmon) and Moose Lodge #641.
Especially touching was the donation of their prize money by several of the winners back to Prom Plus.
Prom Plus organizers are now planning the Taste of Montrose on May 5. Tickets are $20 and are available by calling Robin Goldsworthy at (818) 248-2740.
