Benjamin Weitzel of Glendale, a graduate of Campbell Hall, and Matthew Sox of La Cañada, a graduate of La Cañada High School, earned academic distinction for the most recent semester at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. This recognition is given to students who have completed a minimum of 12 credits, passed all credits attempted, and have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on no fewer than nine graded credits during the semester.

Sean Gedorio of La Crescenta has earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Gedorio was among approximately 4,200 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 258th commencement exercises in December.

Elijah Rj Eigenbrodt from Glendale and Michael Paul Calmette from La Cañada Flintridge earned placement on the Gonzaga University dean’s list for fall semester 2019. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.

Amy Giboney of La Crescenta was among 1,759 students named to the Samford University’s 2019 fall semester dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.
