Dana Budzyn of La Cañada and Kristy Koperski of La Crescenta at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania attained the dean’s list in fall 2014. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

For 149 years, Lehigh University (lehigh.edu) has combined outstanding academic and learning opportunities with leadership in fostering innovative research.

Christine Kim of Montrose, a student at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester.

To earn dean’s list honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Libby Denton of Glendale was one of 10 California Lutheran University students chosen by their peers to participate in an ancient Swedish ceremony because they best represent the attributes of a Christian martyr.

Denton, a psychology major, was Sankta Lucia during the Sankta Lucia Festival on Dec. 12 in Samuelson Chapel. She works with the Center for Equality and Justice, and coordinates a network of small campus ministry book discussion groups, sings in the choir and quartets and helps lead a Wednesday night worship service.
