Community Invitation to Wellness Fair
Hi, my name is Camila Ramirez and I am one of eight ambassadors for the CV Cares Coalition/Impact Foundation. I’m excited to share details about our upcoming CV Cares Wellness Fair, which will take place on May 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2563 Foothill Blvd. Admission is completely free and the event will feature interactive activities such as yoga, meditation and craft sessions, all designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness. Additionally, we will have four guest speakers covering topics such as stress management, happiness, maintaining a positive mindset to help people improve their well-being and the Impact of Stress and Substance Use on the Developing Adolescent Brain.
This fair is a great opportunity for community members to connect, learn and gain access to valuable mental health and wellness resources, as well as substance misuse resources. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can focus on their mental and physical well-being and substance misuse awareness while engaging in meaningful activities. As ambassadors, we will have a booth where we will interact with attendees, share information and assist with event activities throughout the day. This event will allow people to explore wellness in a fun, engaging and supportive environment while learning helpful strategies to improve their daily lives.
Beyond planning the fair, our organization leader, Victoria, recently met with residents and caretakers from the Montrose Health Care Center at the Harvest Market to discuss visiting the facility this month as a school club, further strengthening our impact in the community.
We encourage everyone to attend, participate and prioritize their wellness and self-care at the CV Cares Wellness Fair. We look forward to seeing you there!
