CVTC Recommends: Save These Dates

As spring hits full swing, the Crescenta Valley Town Council (CVTC) is preparing for a month of community celebration and significant discussions regarding our local landscape. From family-friendly traditions to pivotal land use developments, here is what is happening in the Crescenta Valley:

Save The Date: Abode Communities Town Hall

The Council is urging residents to keep your calendars clear during the week of May 4. A special town hall meeting is being finalized with Abode Communities to discuss the proposed affordable housing development project at the corner of Briggs Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.

Given the intense community feedback and ongoing concerns regarding building height, traffic and safety during an emergency, the Council is expecting a significant turnout. To accommodate the community, we are currently vetting two high capacity locations capable of hosting several hundred people. Final confirmation of the date will be announced as soon as the location is booked.

Upcoming: Hometown Country Fair

Get ready for a day of local fun. The 2026 Hometown Country Fair returns to Crescenta Valley Park on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a day of community connection featuring live music, a classic car show, pie-eating contest and – for the first time ever – a Hometown 5K and 1K dog run. This event is free and serves as a wonderful opportunity to meet Crescenta Valley neighbors and businesses. Be sure to stop by the CVTC booth and say hello!

As always, the Town Council remains a steady resource for the community. Our primary mission is to listen to your concerns and advocate for the best interests of our neighbors. If you have questions or feedback, we are easily reachable via email; please visit our website (https://thecvcouncil.com/) for full contact information for each Council member.

We truly appreciate the high level of engagement from our residents and your participation is what makes the Crescenta Valley such a welcoming place to live. We hope to see you at our next general meeting on April 16 at 7 p.m. in the La Crescenta Library community room, 2809 Foothill Blvd.
