La Cañada Presbyterian Church (LCPC) Parent Education will kick off its 47th year with classes beginning Sept. 9-12 – space is still available for some classes. The program continues its legacy of providing quality parenting classes led by reputable staff. Guests are also welcome to experience a free trial class at open house (Sept. 16-19) by registering on the LCPC website www.LCPCparented.org.
This year, 14 daytime classes that run weekly from September through May will be slated. Additionally, Parent Express classes that run in four- or six-week sessions will be offered including The Art of Marriage (in October) and The Art of Fatherhood (in September and April). The Art of Marriage Class, led by Teresa Chiu, will be a fun and educational four weeks with coaching for couples looking to deepen their relationships.
A former Marriage Class participant said, “This class is an essential part of the marital journey. It covers many different aspects of marriage, including communication, conflict resolution and empathy.”
In preparation for the new program year, a welcome tea for all staff, board and ministry support team (MST) members was held on Sept. 2 at the home of Ashley Barrett.
This year’s LCPC Parent Ed team is led by Anne Bierling, LCPC executive
