The Italian Catholic Federation announced its annual St. Joseph’s Table and Silent Auction, a cherished community tradition celebrating faith, generosity and fellowship. The event will take place after the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, March 21 and after all Masses on Sunday, March 22 at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 215 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.
St. Joseph’s Table is a beloved Italian Catholic custom honoring St. Joseph through the sharing of food and acts of charity. Parishioners and community members are invited to purchase an abundant table filled with homemade baked goods, breads, casseroles and desserts, lovingly prepared by volunteers. The event also offers the perfect opportunity to gather in and view the newly completed parish hall.
The accompanying silent auction will feature an array of exciting items, including restaurant gift cards, family experiences, museum passes, wine and other unique donations provided by local businesses and supporters.
A portion of all proceeds will benefit a variety of charitable organizations, including St. Bede Parish, Ronald McDonald House, Smile Train, Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warrior and scholarship programs for high school and college students.
In celebration of St. Joseph’s Day, attendees are invited to a catered pasta lunch featuring pasta with meat sauce, salad, vegetables and bread. The cost is $35 for adults and $25 for children under 12.
