Dolores Marsh

1939 – 2026

Dolores Marsh, 86, of La Cañada Flintridge passed away peacefully on Jan 21 surrounded by her loving family – a family she nurtured and loved so much.

Dolores was born in 1939 in Glendale to Ralph and Aurora Medina. She attended St. Finbar Parish School and went on to Bellarmine Jefferson High School in Burbank where she met the love of her life, Harvey Marsh. High school sweethearts, they married in 1960 and shared more than 65 years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, family and service.

After graduating from nursing school at Queen of Angels in Los Angeles, Dolores began her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank as a registered nurse. She later worked as a pediatric nurse for Drs. Coffelt and Salawi where she cared for generations of families over the next 35 years. It always brought her joy when former patients, now grown, recognized her and stopped to say hello, a testament to the gentle care she gave so freely.

Dolores lived in Burbank, Glendale and ultimately La Cañada Flintridge where she and Harvey settled in 1979. She was deeply involved in her parish community at St. Bede the Venerable, serving as president of the Parish Council of Women, a member of the Bereavement Committee, and as a Eucharistic minister. She was active in her faith, evident in her kindness, presence and service. She was also devoted to education and community, serving on the Mothers’ Guild at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a community that remained close to her heart.

Above all, Dolores was a loving wife, mother and nana. She is survived by her devoted husband Harvey; daughters Ellen Foley and Marianne Williams; grandchildren Katie Travis, Brian Williams and Meghan Ulfeldt; and her five great-grandchildren.

Dolores had a love that was immeasurable. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader, supporting everything they did, always ready with encouragement.

Dolores was always ready to send a kind note to those who needed comfort or celebration, small acts of love that made a lasting difference. She will be remembered for her warmth, her faith, her steady presence and the deep closeness of her family.

Dolores’s life was a blessing and her love will continue to guide those who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’ memory may be made to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy or the Pasadena Humane Society.
