5000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that while she was shopping at a grocery store she placed her purse containing her wallet in the shopping cart. As she was shopping, she noticed a man wearing a white shirt walking down the aisle near her cart. He stopped and asked her where the ice cream was located. She was near the frozen foods at the time and turned to point to the ice cream. When she turned around, she noticed the man was gone. When she went to check out she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse.
The theft occurred at 2:30 p.m.

4400 block of Young Drive in Montrose, two packages containing personal items were stolen from the front porch of a home at 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 13
2100 block of Lyons Drive in La Cañada, the front driver side door handle was damaged by a person/persons while it was parked at the location between Dec. 13 and Dec. 16.

Dec. 9
1100 block of Fairview Drive in La Cañada, the front passenger window was smashed and compact discs, headphones and mail were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

Dec. 7
3900 block of Hampstead Road in La Cañada, a woman reported missing an envelope containing cash that had been in her purse in her home. The theft occurred between Dec. 7 and Dec. 10.
