Nov. 27

4000 block of Forest Hill Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported finding the front passenger side window of her vehicle had been smashed and items stolen. Surveillance footage revealed that a great Volkswagen Jetta with damaged driver’s side quarter panel was seen parking directly in front of the victim’s car. A man, wearing a white sweater, black joggers with white stripes and black shoes, is seen walking away from the grey Volkswagen Jetta and toward the front passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle. The male suspect is soon seen walking back towards the grey Volkswagen with a maroon-colored purse in hand, apparently belonging to the victim. 

He got into the Volkswagen and drove away from the area at 12:16 p.m.

Angeles Station 11 on Angeles Forest Highway, a man reported that he parked his vehicle on the shoulder dirt parking lot of the U.S. Forest Service Angeles Station 11, secured his vehicle and then he and his girlfriend left to hike in the area. When they returned to their vehicle they noticed the front passenger side window was shattered. 

The woman’s purse was missing from the car. The vehicle burglary occurred between 2 p.m. and  5 p.m.

300 block of Flintridge Oaks Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a call concerning a residential burglary in progress. A witness reported seeing an unknown person breaking the glass door of a residence. When deputies arrived they saw the broken glass door and entered the home to conduct a “protective sweep;” however they found the home empty. There was no evidence of ransacking or rummaging in the residence. Nothing was reported stolen at the time. 

The incident occurred between 5:50 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. 

Angeles Crest Highway/Gould Mesa Mountain Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported parking her vehicle on the dirt parking lot along the Angeles Crest Highway. She locked her vehicle and left for a hike; when she returned she discovered the rear driver’s side window of her vehicle had been shattered. She noticed that a large black bag that had been on the rear driver’s seat when she left the vehicle was now unzipped. She did not notice anything missing. 

The incident occurred between noon and 2:15 p.m.

Nov. 26

4300 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a man returned to his vehicle to find the center console and glove box were left ajar. He did a quick inventory and discovered his wallet, which he had left in his car, was missing. 

The theft occurred between 7 p.m. on Nov. 26 and noon on Nov. 27.
