Marcus Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Tujunga, a 36-year-old man was arrested for attempted burglary and being in possession of burglary tools after a deputy allegedly noticed him near a USPS mailbox. It appeared he was tampering with the mailbox when the deputy approached him. After an investigation it was discovered he had three forged USPS arrow keys in his possession.
He was arrested at 7:45 p.m.
5000 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, a resident reported that a man, described as Middle Eastern in his 40s with short black hair and wearing a gray sweater and gray pants, rang her home’s doorbell. When she answered the door the man said he noticed they were selling their home and was interested in buying it. He asked if he could come into the home to look at it. The resident allowed him in and followed him, along with her two dogs on a leash, throughout the home. He walked into the master bedroom while the resident stayed outside the room with her dogs. The man then said he was leaving and got into a black four-door Mercedes sedan with tinted windows.
The resident went into the master bedroom where the man had been allowed to enter alone and noticed her watch had been stolen between 2:25 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

500 block of Walmar Avenue in La Cañada, sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

Nov. 21
3000 block of Markridge Road in La Crescenta, a resident reported that he woke to a sound that was like “water on a hotplate” but didn’t think it was anything and went back to sleep. The next morning he found that a total of five tires on two of his vehicles had been punctured and flattened. The incident was thought to have occurred at 2:30 a.m.
Vinetta Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man entered his locked vehicle after parking it on the street. He sat in the driver’s seat, started his vehicle and shifted the gears to the drive position but the vehicle did not move. He looked under his car and found the drive shaft had been stolen.
The theft occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
