Update 4:33 p.m.
The name was released of the Wells Fargo Bank robbery suspect apprehended today by Glendale police. Raul Gutierrez, 31, is a transient. He was booked on robbery by GPD.
Update 3:55 p.m.
A call came out at 2:50 p.m. today, Tuesday, of a robbery in progress from inside the Wells Fargo Bank in the 2400 block of Honolulu Avenue.
Glendale police were in the area. When the suspect came out of the bank, he saw officers and tried to evade police on foot. Witnesses were helping officers find the suspect who was found in the1400 block of Broadview and apprehended.
Shortly after, in an apparent unrelated incident, a high-speed vehicle pursuit by LAPD traveled through the Crescenta Valley. The vehicle, described as a gold SUV or minivan, was traveling southbound on La Crescenta Avenue at a high rate of speed. It made a right turn onto Montrose Avenue nearly slamming into the curb on the south side of the street. It then continued west on Montrose Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue where it turned left, traveling south. At La Crescenta Avenue it made a right turn to continue southbound. Several police units were still in pursuit.

According to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Dept., police are conducting a search via air support and ground patrols for a robbery suspect/s in the area of Broadview between Las Palmas and Rosemont avenues.
The only information at this time is that a robbery occurred in the Montrose area and no one was injured.
