Remembering Local Military at Christmas

It’s getting to be the time of year when the veterans at American Legion Post 288 and VFW Post 1614 are “making their list and checking it twice.” They want to find the names of all the local military enlisted men and women who are not going to be home for Christmas. The veterans will send them a Christmas gift card to thank them for their service.

Those who know someone from the La Crescenta area who is in the military and will be away from home for Christmas, please send their name, rank, branch of military service, and mailing address to the American Legion, P.O. Box 223, Montrose, CA 91021. This information can be emailed to mcginnix@aol.com. Please put “Military Christmas” in the subject box. The information is needed by Dec. 1.
