1600 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that as he was watching television at his home he looked out the window and saw a person walking toward the front porch. The family had previous packages stolen from their porch in the past so the resident investigated to see who the person was on the porch. He looked through the window and saw a suspect, described as a female Hispanic adult, on the porch with a recently delivered package in her hands. The suspect looked at the resident through the window and “freaked out.” The suspect placed the package back on the porch and walked southbound toward Verdugo Boulevard. The resident walked out of the house and followed the suspect. He witnessed her getting into the front passenger side door of a grey Lexus UX and drive westbound from the location. The suspect was described as 5’3” to 5’7” tall, skinny to medium build with long dark curly hair with blonde streaks and wearing a long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a vest.
The attempted theft occurred at 5:30 p.m.
Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a person reported parking his vehicle in the lower parking lot at the area and left to hike. When he returned he found the vehicle’s driver’s side door lock was damaged. The lock appeared to be punched with an unknown tool by an unknown suspect. The vehicle owner found that several personal items were stolen including a bank card, which had fraudulent charges in Sun Valley.
The theft occurred between 10:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Oct. 30
400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a man parked his vehicle at the location and walked into a store. He then, five minutes later, came out to make certain he had locked his vehicle. The door handles of his vehicle extend when the door is unlocked and sit flush when it is locked. As he approached the car he noticed the door handles were extended indicating the door was unlocked. He observed a person, described as a Black male adult with dreadlocks who was wearing a dark colored T-shirt and black pants, standing by the right rear passenger door of his vehicle. As he approached the man walked away. The vehicle owner checked the interior of the car and found it to be ransacked and cash was missing.
The theft occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.

2100 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, someone stole the rear tailgate of a truck overnight.
