Oct. 26
800 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada, a resident of a home under construction reported seeing a man described as black, wearing a white shirt with blue lettering on the back, blue jeans and dark shoes walking around his living room and bedrooms. He watched the suspect take several photos of the items inside his home including various photos of power tools. He approached the man and asked him what he was doing. He told the man he was looking around the home for “junk.”
The resident said he was going to call the sheriffs. The suspect asked him not to do that and said he would leave. The resident told the man to stay at the location and he called the sheriffs. The man exited the home and got into a vehicle described as a dark colored Nissan car.
The car drove away from the area at 4:10 p.m.

 
Oct. 25
2400 block of Frances Street in La Crescenta, a stopwatch and vehicle registration were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

Oct. 24
5500 block of Pinecone Road in La Crescenta, a man was working on his company truck that was parked on the street in the area. Another work truck pulled up to the area and attempted to move up when the driver (suspect) struck the victim’s truck. The victim attempted to take photos of the damage to his vehicle when the suspect became hostile. Several workers in the area came and took the suspect inside the home at the location. When the suspect exited the home, the victim reported he seemed to have a bloody nose. When the suspect walked past the victim he swung a knife at the victim who was able to dodge out of the way. The victim went into his company truck, called his dispatcher who in turn contacted sheriff’s station. The suspect threw the knife into the bushes and left the area.
The incident occurred at 5:29 p.m.

2100 block of Glenada Avenue in Montrose, the rear passenger window was smashed on a vehicle overnight.

 

Oct. 23
200 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada, a first-aid backpack was stolen from a locked vehicle at 11:51 p.m.

 

Oct. 15
Angeles National Forest, the front right passenger window was smashed and a purse and personal items were stolen from a locked vehicle between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

 

Oct. 2
4600 block of Oceanview Boulevard in La Cañada, a laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between Oct. 2 and Oct. 24.
