Oct. 18
Altura and Briggs avenues in Montrose, deputies responded to a report of vandalism on a vehicle. They found deep scratches all over the exterior of the vehicle. The vandalism occurred between Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 3:40 p.m.
900 block of Wiladonda Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that he parked his vehicle the evening of Oct. 18, then discovered the next morning that the vehicle door was ajar. He found the center console was open and the ignition cover was removed and placed on the passenger side. The key cylinder was also damaged. It did not appear anything from inside the vehicle was stolen overnight.
Oct. 17
1400 block of Flintridge Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a family returned from a Dodgers’ game to find rooms inside their home ransacked and personal property thrown on the floor. The sliding glass door leading to the backyard had been shattered. Upon further investigation several other rooms had been ransacked and personal items were stolen between 2 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
Oct. 16
2700 block of Sanborn Avenue in La Crescenta, deputies responded to a report of an assault. They found the victim standing next to his vehicle near his residence. The victim reported that he had observed a gray 2007-2009 Toyota Yaris traveling westbound on Sanborn Avenue from Sharon Avenue. As the vehicle approached the victim raised both of his hands and motioned for the driver to slow down. The vehicle passed him and then stopped on the north side of the street about 40 feet from the victim. The driver (suspect) exited the vehicle and began walking toward the victim while yelling at him. As the suspect walked to the victim, the victim held up his hand and placed it on the suspect’s chest to stop him. The suspect then struck the victim on his face with his fists. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and drove northbound onto La Crescenta Avenue and out of view. The suspect was described as a white male adult, about 42 years old, about 5’10” tall and weighing about 200 pounds. At the time he was wearing a white undershirt, black hoodie, black shorts, black shoes and a black cap. He had a blond goatee.
The assault occurred at 5:45 p.m.
Oct. 15
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a call concerning a grand theft at a store. Security footage revealed two adult male suspects entering the store through the main entrance. They picked up hand shopping baskets and proceeded to the hygiene aisle. They began filling the baskets with numerous items including electric toothbrushes. Once the baskets were filled they ran out the store’s emergency exit and fled the area. The suspects were known to the employees at the store due to previous incidents that had occurred.
The theft occurred at 9:05 p.m.
