4500 block of Fairlawn Drive in La Cañada, a purse was stolen from a vehicle between 4:13 a.m.
2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a wallet was stolen from a shopping cart between 1:50 p.m. and 2:10 p.m.

2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a cellphone and case were stolen from a backpack in a school locker between 10:20 a.m. and 11:10 a.m.

2100 block of La Cañada Crest in La Cañada, the interior of a vehicle was ransacked overnight.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man reported that he had placed personal items in a locker at the Crescenta Cañada YMCA, set the lock and went to work out. When he returned, he noticed the lock was gone and the locker door was ajar. He reported a red backpack with personal information, cellphones and other personal items stolen between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Angeles Crest Highway, mile marker 81.80, Angeles National Forest, a 55-gallon hazmat barrel drum containing diesel fuel was stolen from a shed between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

2300 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, construction equipment was stolen between Oct. 6-8.
Oct. 3
2100 Earnslow Drive in La Cañada, a father reported that his daughter received a suspicious series of text messages. The man reported that his daughter received a text via email from a person stating his name was Coach Smith and that he was with a college that was interested in offering her a soccer scholarship. The alleged coach sent a form for her to fill out, then contacted her later requesting she take a video of her body to “ensure she was in good health.” The daughter doubted the legitimacy of the suspect and blocked the number. The father discovered the message did not come from the college. He reported because he was concerned the suspect is a child predator and there may be other victims.
The texts occurred between Sept. 28- Oct. 3.
2400 block Florencita Avenue in Montrose, a suitcase containing scientific equipment was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
Oct. 2
2800 block of Sanborn Avenue in La Crescenta, an employee of the water district responded to the address to get meter information from the residence’s water meter. He found that someone had removed the meter from the water pipe and rerouted the water through a new pipe running directly into the home. The tampering appeared to keep the water usage of the residence from being measured by the water company. The theft/vandalism occurred between Sept. 22 and Oct. 2.

4300 block of Rosemont Avenue in La Crescenta, tools and a Bluetooth speaker were stolen from a vehicle and the driver’s side window was shattered overnight.
Sept. 29
3000 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, the rear driver’s side window was smashed on a vehicle overnight.
