A 16-inch water main was hit by SCE’s sub-contractor while installing new power poles near the intersection of Raymond Ave and Los Olivos, behind Rosemont Middle School. CVWD crews have temporary repaired the pipeline for the remainder of the day.
At 10:00 pm tonight, the 16-inch water main will be shut down again to make a permanent repair on the pipe. Water will be off in the following areas shown below from 10:00 pm on July 29, 2018 to 7:00 am on July 30, 2018 to allow the crews to complete the repair. On the morning of July 30, 2018, when the water is back in service, you may experience air or brown or sandy water, we recommend that you turn on your water faucet or tub that is the farthest away from the front of the house slowly to flush out the air or brown water. The air and/or brown water should dissipate quickly as your water service is restored back to normal.
It is suggested that for all appliances connected to your home’s plumbing system that you consult the User’s Manual to ensure proper use after the water is back in service.
Please contact CVWD at (818) 248-3925, if you continue having problems with water service. Updates will be posted on CVWD’s website at www.cvwd.com
