Oro Vista Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, a Tujunga man was arrested for receiving stolen property after deputies noticed him riding a bicycle eastbound on the westbound lanes. They stopped him to warn or give him a citation when the deputy noticed the bike matched the description of a bicycle that had been stolen from a La Crescenta home 10 days earlier. He could not prove ownership of the bicycle. The victim of the stolen bicycle was able to identify it as hers. The incident took place at 7 p.m.

2700 block of El Caminito Street in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2005 Toyota Camry overnight.

700 block of Craig Avenue in La Cañada, several pieces of jewelry and personal information were stolen and several rooms in the home were ransacked. The resident left her home with doors and windows locked. She returned to find her front door unlocked. It appeared entry was gained by burglary suspect/s via a window that had been broken and pried off its track. The burglary occurred between 9 a.m. and
7:50 p.m.

2400 block of Janet Lee Drive in La Crescenta, a resident reported finding someone had removed the screen on her son’s bedroom window by poking a hole in it and bending the latch and the alarm motion sensor was activated. Nothing appeared to be stolen. The incident occurred between 1 p.m. to 1:21 p.m.
2800 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2004 Toyota Camry overnight.
June 23
3000 block of Markridge Road in La Crescenta, a package containing a game system and other electronic devices were stolen from the front porch of a home after UPS delivered it. Video footage showed a male, white, about 26 to 28 years old, tall and thin build. He was wearing a grey shirt with black letters or a black design, blue jeans, black shoes and dark sunglasses on his head. He was seen removing a boxed item identified as the electronics. He placed the items into a green or black bag and walked away at 1:10 p.m.
2900 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2000 Honda Accord overnight.
3100 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2005 Toyota Corolla overnight.
400 block of Starlight Crest Drive in La Cañada, the rear sliding glass door at a home was shattered and a money clip with cash was stolen overnight.
June 22
2400 block of Altura Avenue in Montrose, deputies responded to a call concerning an attempted burglary. The resident reported he and his family had just left their home when he heard the doorbell ring. He went back into his home and looked out the front window, which faces Altura Avenue. He reported seeing the front end of a silver vehicle that was parked behind a brick wall along the north curb of Altura Avenue. He opened the front door and saw a man, described as black, about 20 years old, 6’ tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and medium complexion, standing on the front porch. The resident kept the screen door closed and between him and the man. The man told him he was looking for “Cynthia” to take her to a party. The resident told him that there was no one there by the name of Cynthia and to leave before he called the police. The man told the resident to open the driveway gate so he could leave the area. The resident used the remote control to open the gate.
The man exited and got into the passenger seat of a vehicle described as a newer model BMW SUV, possible X5. Deputies determined the man had to have jumped the brick wall to get onto the resident’s property. The incident occurred at 12:50 p.m.
