From the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station:
Since yesterday, we have been actively searching for Monica Reza, who was last seen hiking near the Mount Waterman area in the Angeles National Forest.
Personnel led by Crescenta Valley Station and our LASD – Montrose Search and Rescue Team have worked around the clock in search of Monica.
Acting Captain Vienna stated:
“We are deeply concerned about the whereabouts of Monica, who has now been missing for over 24 hours. We have deployed numerous resources, including Air Rescue 5 and other technologies, to aid in the search.
I want to express my gratitude to the many Search and Rescue teams involved—our Los Angeles County teams from Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, Antelope Valley, Malibu Search and Rescue Team (Malibu SAR) – LASD, San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team, and Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team, as well as teams from San Diego Mountain Rescue Team, Ventura County East Valley Search and Rescue Team, and Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit. Tomorrow, we’ll be joined by teams from Orange County and San Bernardino.
I also want to thank our federal partners for their continued assistance.”
