Angeles Crest Highway in Los Angeles, deputies responded to the location regarding a report of an illegal shooting. The caller reported witnessing a man discharge about five gunshots into the air before the informant left the area. The witness reported seeing about five males, described as Hispanic and all between the ages of 20 and 22 years of age, at the location. They were listening to music from “out of their vehicle.”
The group entered the vehicle and drove southbound on the Crest. Then the informant saw a firearm protruding from the front of the passenger or rear passenger side window of the suspects’ vehicle. That is when the gunshots were heard. Two other informants corroborated the initial informant’s report. Deputies discovered bullet casings in the area.
The incident occurred at 12:40 a.m.
June 5
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to an alarm activation to the location. It appeared someone attempted to gain entry into a business by bending the metal frame of a back door. Entry was not made.
The attempted burglary occurred overnight.
June 4
4600 block of Marellen Place in La Crescenta, a resident reported receiving a phone call concerning some purchases that had been made with her credit card on May 31. The credit card company representative stated that several purchases had been made in numerous stores. The resident had not made the purchases and still had the credit card in her possession. She reported it to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. at 10 a.m.

2300 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, the back window was shattered on a vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen.
The vandalism occurred between May 30 and June 2.
