The California Dept. of Transportation (Caltrans) will intermittently close up to two-lanes on eastbound I-210 starting Monday, June 15 through Tuesday, June 30 each night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Scheduled closures are subject to change and/or cancellation.
The work involves demolition and removal of the existing median barrier starting at the Ramsdell Avenue overcrossing in La Crescenta-Montrose to the Lincoln Avenue-Howard Street undercrossing in Pasadena. This is part of an ongoing paving and rehabilitation project along the I-210.
Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may notice varying noise, vibrations and dust associated with constructions activities. Noise levels will not exceed state and federal regulations. Water trucks will be used to minimize dust during working hours.
The nighttime closures are necessary to minimize traffic delays and provide a safe work zone for construction crews while working along the median barrier.
The contractor for this $148.5 million project is Flatiron West, Inc., Santa Fe
Springs, California. Construction signs and changeable message signs will be in place to alert motorists to construction activities and closures. Motorists should anticipate delays, plan ahead and use alternate routes.
