Home Invasion Wednesday Night

A home invasion occurred on Wednesday night at about 10:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Los Olivos Lane in La Crescenta.

The resident, a 38-year-old man, woke up as two men attempted to tie him up, said Lt. Elizabeth Sachs, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept. Crescenta Valley Station.

The suspects were described as two black men, both in their 20s. One suspect was 6’3″ tall and weighed about 200 pounds, the other man was described as being of medium build.

“The two suspects took turns holding the victim at gunpoint while the other ransacked his home,” Sachs said.

The robbers left with cash, jewelry and electronics. The victim, who was still “somewhat tied up” made his way to a neighbor’s home.

“The neighbors are the ones that called 911, reporting a trespasser,” Sachs said.

They had no idea at the time it was their neighbor at their door.

The robbery is under investigation.
