A City of Glendale spokesperson confirmed that a Glendale firefighter has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Dept. in an alleged connection with the death of a woman. 

At about 4:25 a.m. the alleged suspect walked into an LAPD station and asked for a wellness check regarding his domestic partner, according to an interview with KABC by Lt. Guy Golan. Officers responded to the 5600 block of Satsuma Avenue in North Hollywood. Officers discovered a female victim in her 50s deceased at the scene, said LAPD Officer Cervantes. 

“A suspect has been taken into custody,” Cervantes said. 

There is limited information from LAPD; however, the suspect has been confirmed as an off-duty Glendale firefighter. 

Although reports state the woman was the firefighter’s wife, LAPD stated the couple was in “co-habitation.” 

LAPD is investigating the death as an isolated incident of domestic violence.
