The LCPC orchestra invites fans of all ages to experience the epic music of “Star Wars” at “From a Galaxy Far, Far Away,” a free concert celebration on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.
This special performance will transport audiences through the beloved musical themes from the “Star Wars” saga, featuring the iconic compositions that have defined one of cinema’s most treasured franchises. From the triumphant main theme to the “Imperial March,” concertgoers will experience the power and emotion of these unforgettable scores performed live.
Designed to delight both children and adults, this family-friendly event encourages fans to fully embrace the “Star Wars” spirit. Attendees are invited to wear their favorite “Star Wars” costumes and bring light sabers to enhance the galactic atmosphere. Whether dressed as a Jedi, Sith, rebel pilot or beloved droid, all are welcome to join in the fun.
Narrator Kathy Purdy will tell the stories of the “Star Wars” saga and highlight the life lessons we can learn.
Prior to the concert at 1:30 p.m. LCPC’s director of Music & Worship Arts, Jack Lantz, will conduct an audience quiz on “Star Wars” trivia. After the concert, the audience will have an opportunity to meet the musicians and see the instruments up close.
“This concert is about bringing the community together through the universal language of music and the shared joy of ‘Star Wars’” said Lantz. “We want families to come, have fun and create lasting memories together.”
