Much was found along Honolulu Avenue at the 47th Annual Oktoberfest, held Saturday in the 2200-2400 blocks of Honolulu.
Whether kids were looking for fun in the Kids’ Zone or folks wanted to enjoy beer or wine, all could be found at Oktoberfest – not to mention traditional German dinners that featured brats with all of the fixings.
Some local spots, including Atavola Cheese Shop, took advantage of the estimated 30,000 people who were on Honolulu by having impromptu “pop-up” shops to introduce their wares.
Oktoberfest, hosted by the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, was also an opportunity for people to dress in their favorite German garb.
With music heard from the various stages found throughout the area, the day held something for everyone.
