Daughters of the American Revolution – DAR – worked with Operation Gratitude providing Battalion Bears to children whose parents are deployed.

Thousands of bears were ready to go to their “fur-ever” homes but first they needed to go through quality control and be given the once over by the women of DAR. Members did the inspection from the Don José Verdugo Chapter in La Cañada, Martin Severance Chapter in Pasadena and members of the San Fernando Valley Chapter.

The mission of the DAR is historic preservation, education and patriotism; it is a non-partisan, non-political organization. This was the perfect project to thank members of the nation’s military and their families for all the sacrifices they make.
