The La Cañada Thursday Club is holding its annual orientation and membership meeting for the 2026-27 Debutante Program. The meeting will take place at the Thursday Club (4440 Woodleigh Lane, La Cañada) on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Parents of 10th grade girls living within 25 miles of La Cañada are welcome to attend along with their daughters to learn more about this 16-month program that begins in September.
The members of the La Cañada Thursday Club established the Les Fleurettes Debutante Program in 1951. Over the years, along with the required volunteer hours and cultural experiences, the program has evolved to include monthly personal development meetings. Instruction and first-hand experience on topics such as public speaking, stress and time management, finance, personal safety and much more are presented. The program is regularly updated to prepare the Les Fleurettes debutantes for success in their future endeavors.
The program culminates with a black-tie ball held between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Bal Blanc de Noel is a magical and memorable evening for the debutantes and their families.
Those interested are invited on Feb. 11 to hear more. Additional information is available on the website www.lacanadathursdayclub.org.
