Meet the Board

With all the updates we have had here, it is time to also introduce your board:

1st Co-President, George Pondella, owner of Rossmoyne, Inc. General contractor and a full service construction company serving the greater LA area for over 35 years. Specializing in residential insurance restoration and commercial exterior skins.

At Rossmoyne, they are ardent about creating outstanding experiences in everything they do. To them “it’s not only business – it’s personal.” George has served on the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber board of directors for several years and is a past president. He brings an enthusiasm and hardworking ethic to the chamber. He believes in and offers “policy over personality.”

A longtime board member, he brings to his business professionalism along with his genuine character as a person. We appreciate his years of contribution to the chamber.

Executive Board Chair, Kristi Cohen, HR administrator at USC-Verdugo Hills Hospital. Kristi recently joined USC Verdugo Hills Hospital and is excited about sharing the wonderful events that the hospital offers the community.

Kristi has been local to the community for the last 15 years and lives in Sparr Heights with her husband and two children. She brings a sense of balance, stability and objective point of view.

Executive Board Chair, Mindy Stackpoole, publisher at Best Version Media – La Crescenta-Montrose Neighbors, a local magazine featuring families and businesses of the Crescenta Valley.

Mindy looks to showcase well-regarded area businesses “that want to share their voice, grow market share and expand their business.”

Mindy’s collaborative energy was immediately identified by the MVCC staff. The desire to support and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit is mutual. With an understanding of the importance of social interaction and being a strong campaign strategist and an accomplished marketer with 10-plus years of technology and marketing experience, she will help lead us forward with the momentum we are committed to.

Executive Board Chair, Stephanie Charles, New York Life, office manager.

Stephanie’s strong background in marketing and public relations was perfected when she was a regional marketing and public relations specialist for Sports Chalet. She brings a foundation of working well in dynamic groups with years of managerial skills at companies such as Gilly Hicks, Curves & Fun-ky Monkey, LLC. Her personality is infectious. Along with raising four children, volunteering and supporting CVLL, she is now a part of our dynamic growing board. Stephanie brings a sense of fun and joy to the leadership she provides.

Mentor Chair, Joe Allen, narcotic expert for the City of Glendale Police Dept. Joe is a pillar in the community. He shares his expertise nationwide teaching law enforcement classes, speaking publicly and giving presentations to private business, community and civic groups.

Joe brings years of board experience. A natural teacher and enthusiastic human being, he brings a mentor value to our new board members. We appreciate his contribution to this new dynamic group.
