NEWS FROM THE CV CHAMBER

In Like a Lion

The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is picking up steam as we head into March.

Like the weather proverb “In like a lion, out like a lamb” the Chamber is dynamic in growing its membership, welcoming new businesses and planning for the future.

For example, on March 13 the Chamber will be part of the Smart-A-Thon benefitting the Mary Pinola Education Fund (pinolafund.org)! A friendly competition between the CV and Montrose-Verdugo City chambers of commerce and the Montrose Shopping Park will certainly make things more interesting … and it’ll answer the ultimate question of just who is the smartest among us. Hopefully the Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge chambers will also take part, making things that much more interesting!

On March 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community is invited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Ralphs Marketplace, 2675 Foothill Blvd. where the Chamber is hosting a classic car show.

Then on Thursday, March 19 members of the boards of the CV Chamber and Glendale Chamber will join the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber in welcoming new business ADHC (Adult Day Healthcare Center) at 2925 Honolulu Ave. Beginning at 2 p.m., this event will include a ribbon cutting, celebrating a business focused on senior citizens.

According to its website, “We help individuals achieve and maintain their optimal health … helping individuals achieve independent living or preventing premature placement in long-term care. Family benefits include relief from round-the-clock caregiving duties, access to high-quality medical care for participants, opportunities for socialization and therapeutic activities, continuous medical and psychological evaluations, and counseling on caregiving, family matters, and other related concerns.”

On the last Wednesday of the month – March 25 – members of the CV Chamber will head to our social hour, this month at Town Kitchen & Grill, 2276 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose at 6 p.m. The CV Chamber family is invited! On Feb. 25, we headed over to Gus & Andy’s where we enjoyed a drink and each other’s company. It was good to see Leslie Lesh and her friend Joe there.

Finally, we want to take a minute to welcome some of our newest members – some brand new to the Chamber and some are returning.

7 Seas Collective – A non-profit dedicated to stewardship of marine ecosystems. http://7seascollective.org/

American Softub Co. – For the past 30 years selling and servicing the Softub brand of hot tubs. http://www.americansoftb.com/

Andea Insurance Services – Serving the Foothill Communities since 2009. http://andeainsuranceservices.com/

Special thanks are extended to Steve Pierce, a hardworking board member of the CV Chamber, for his dedication to grow our membership.
