Dates: Save ’em and Bring ’em

 

Well, this year is well underway and we have many events in the making. March is a busy month for us and I imagine it is for you, too. Deadlines are key to staying on track, so here are some important dates to remember.

March 1 – This is the week we finalize our Hometown Country Fair advertising. If you’d like to receive full promotional benefits as a sponsor of the biggest annual family-friendly event in town, get us your completed application as soon as you can. Sponsorship levels range from $250 to $3,500 and include a complimentary booth space at the fair on April 21.

March 5 – The last day to get your reservation in for the Smart-A-Thon. The event is on Wednesday, March 7 starting at 11:30 a.m. at USC-VHH and includes lunch. Table sponsorships include a special listing and participation of four team members or you can simply make a lunch reservation for $45 and you’ll be placed on a team. If you’re busy and can’t make the occasion, you can support the Education Fund with a contribution. For donations only, call the Community Foundation of the Verdugos at (818) 241-8040. The Education Fund has awarded over $250,000 to date!

March 14 – Your opportunity to win $175! Maybe the luck of the Irish will be with you at our March mixer at Mattress Depot. The membership drawing is up to $175 already! If you’re a Chamber business member in good standing you are automatically entered. However, we do require you be there to win on March 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 3812 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta. Admission is just $10.

March 24 – Bingo Night! Event will be held at USC-VHH, 1812 Verdugo Blvd., 4th fl. Tickets on sale now at the Chamber office. Admission is $15.

March 30 – The deadline for vendor booth applications for the Hometown Country Fair. This is our 13th year of putting on the Fair (on April 21), a free event that attracts thousands of residents of all ages. Get in on the fun by displaying your wares in our vendor marketplace. It’s $75 for a 10’x10’ grass space or $170 for a pre-set EZ-Up, table & chairs. Non-profits are welcome, too, at no cost (or $95 for pre-set space).
